👋 Hi, fellow gamers! Today I want to share with you one of the games from my Wii collection: «Battleship». 🚢
This game is a hybrid of strategy and action that was released in May 2012 in North America and Europe, and in June 2012 in Australia. 🌎 It is based on the classic board game of the same name, but it also has a sci-fi twist and a story mode. 🛸
You play as Cole Mathis, a naval officer who has to defend the Earth from an alien invasion. You can switch between two modes of gameplay: the strategic mode, where you command your fleet of ships and use special weapons and abilities; and the action mode, where you take direct control of one of your ships and engage in combat. 💥
The game has 21 missions, each with different objectives and challenges. You can also play in skirmish mode, where you can customize your fleet and battle against the AI or another player. The game supports up to two players in a split-screen mode, or up to four players online. 🎮
The game has realistic and detailed graphics, with dynamic weather and water effects. The sound effects and voice acting are also well done, and the music is composed by Steve Jablonsky, who also worked on the Transformers movies. 🎵
The game received mixed reviews from critics and players, who praised its graphics and sound, but criticized its repetitive gameplay, lack of variety, and poor AI. Some also compared it unfavorably to other Wii strategy games, such as «Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn» and «Xenoblade Chronicles». 📝
Personally, I think the game is fun and exciting, especially if you play it with a friend. It may not be the most original or complex game, but it has its moments and thrills. 😊
What do you think of this game? Have you played it or any other game based on the Battleship board game? Let me know in the comments below. I would love to hear your opinions and experiences. 🗣️
